Rent the facility for a birthday party, wedding, class, workshop or an art show!
Rental of the facility per 1.5-hr time block on weekends - Friday evenings from 9:30 pm to 12:45 pm, Saturdays 7:00 am to 12:45 pm, and Sundays 7:00 am to 7:30 pm - are $60 in advance. The day-rate price per 1.5 hr time block, Monday through Friday, is $40.
We offer a Starter Discount of $30 for events/classes with less than 8 participants, in order to help launch newly-established classes or groups who may need some time to find an audience, recruit members or build a student base. If more than 8 people attend, the renter must pay the remaining amount owed for the regular rate. Starter Discounts cannot be applied after the regular rate has been paid, even when less than 8 people attend.
Instructors are responsible for notifying students about cancellations or schedule changes, and students should provide instructors with some method of contact to receive notifications. Palladine Studios does not hold classes on holidays such as New Years Eve/Day, Easter, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
Weeknights (6pm and later) are reserved for our own Palladine Studios classes - we have only 5 timeblocks for after-school activities (Monday-Friday 4:15-5:45), so make your reservations to teach a class while these timeblocks are available!
Weekends are reserved for special events. Furnishings can be included for non-alcoholic events (such as birthday parties and conferences) that only need 1-2 timeblocks, with the understanding that Palladine Studios personnel will be on site for the entire duration of the event.
For private, non-supervised events (such as weddings), furnishings are not included and a rental of 7 timeblocks required as a minimum. Prices are non-negotiable. For weekend events, an additional $60 per time-block (cash) must be held at the office as a security deposit - at the end of the event, provided no mess or damage has occurred on the premises, this deposit will be returned to the host of the event. Chewing gum removal will cost $60 out of your security deposit.
For reservations, please leave a message by phone or email and we will get back to you as fast as we can. We are not responsible for providing or arranging any extras you might need such as security, insurance and legal services, food & drinks catering, or event planning.

General Policies
-All instructors are independent contractors who set their own class prices and policies - any inquiries regarding class information will be passed on to the individual instructor.
-Participation in classes and events are at the instructor’s discretion. Regardless of whether you are taking classes for fun, for exercise or for career aspirations, we expect students and anyone who uses the facility to behave professionally at all times, and to show respect with regard to the premises, equipment, and other people using the space. Anyone who endangers the safety or well-being of others, misuses props, equipment or personal property, behaves in a rude, disruptive or suspicious manner, or appears to be intoxicated will be asked to leave the premises immediately.
-Do not bring any objects or equipment into the facility other than small personal effects, which should be stored safely in our cubbies (we recommend keeping objects contained within a single bag, and labeling objects with your name if possible). We are not liable for anything that is lost or stolen. Consumables and make-up are permissible but must be in a container with a closeable lid or cap, and should be placed on the bench-tables provided during classwork - do not bring any other potentially messy substances into the facility unless specifically asked to by a responsible instructor or host for a project or class. We do not allow alcohol within the premises without prior written permission.
-Classes or events which utilize potentially hazardous props and choreography, or might include mature content (video, writing, or discussion) as part of the curriculum, or will be filming students as part of demonstrations, will require a signed liability waiver from students. Teachers, hosts or supervisors that hold hazardous activities as part of their event or class must show proof of insurance, and it is recommended that instructors provide their own liability waivers to their students.
-As the classes taught by Carly & Audrey Young are intended for adults, we require that participants be 14 and up, with special exceptions granted after an interview with the child and their legal guardian to ensure that the child will conduct themselves in a mature and responsible way – even so, we require that a guardian be present to supervise children under 14 years of age before, during and after our classes. For students age 14-17, please understand that we are not responsible for supervising minors when they are not actively engaged in class activities.
-We leave it up to the individual instructors/event hosts to make sure participants are clear about expectations regarding appropriate attire and behavior according to the needs of their class, event, or production – we place no restrictions on language, the discussion of sensitive subject matters, or general ‘joking around’, and if you have concerns please discuss them with your instructor/host/director.
-Please do not handle any props or equipment without permission from a supervisor. For students, this means asking the instructor/host, and for instructors/hosts, this means asking the facility supervisor at the office.
-Do not place objects on the dance flooring, as it can become easily scuffed or stained. Wear appropriate footwear for the class or event and please make sure to check for dirt and debris that can damage the flooring.
-While we offer classes with the hopes of training potential members of our troupe, and may approach students about performance opportunities if we feel that it is a good fit for them, participation in Palladine Studios projects is not guaranteed by tuition, nor is it dependent upon it.

FAQ
Q: What, no mirrors?
A: While mirrors have traditionally been used as a teaching tool so that the student can adjust themselves according to the teacher’s corrections, it can be something of a double-edged sword - being too aware of the mirror can distract performers from the emotion and rhythm they are trying to achieve.
There are no mirrors when you perform onstage or in front of a camera - students who grow too comfortable being able to see and correct themselves don’t learn how to position, orient and sync with other performers properly, connect with the audience if it is a live show, and may have increased symptoms of stage-fright when the mirror-crutch is taken away and the lights come up.
Instead, we have replaced the mirrors with a camera and a television screen. The students must focus on their performance, and learn to ‘play to the camera’ – this is especially crucial if they plan to perform for film, but the camera is a good stand-in for a live audience as well. Then, at the end of class, they can review their work from that perspective, and determine what ways they would like to improve. Students may ask for a file copy of the video documenting their work.
Q: What are your teaching standards? Do you have teaching credentials?
A: We are not a school, therefore we do not deal in teaching standards or credentials – this is a production company that found a home in a large facility, where we could train performers according to our needs.
We have undergone years of training under more experienced artists, and will continue to train under many more - we will never stop learning. We do not claim to be ‘masters’ in our fields - we are professional artists building a team to produce our work, and we charge for use of the space so that we can afford to provide these resources.
We would be honored to host classes from masters and experts at the facility, and welcome any guest teachers who would like to impart their knowledge of more advanced techniques and/or specialized skills to our students. But we do not claim to be preparing you for work in the entertainment industry – we are preparing you for possible participation in our productions, and for the productions of other artists who come to our resource hub seeking aide.
