Welcome to Palladine Studios!
Palladine Studios is a production company, with a facility opening in the South Beach area of Newport, Oregon. Our aim is to create original historical dramas and adventure stories and produce them as visual media. In order to accomplish this, we are hosting classes in various arts disciplines, such as choreography, acting, and script-writing.
Where we are located
We are located on Ferry Slip Rd a short distance away from the beach, across the bridge from the Historic Bayfront and Deco District of Newport, in the Aquarium Village - an entertainment district decorated with pirates (it even has its own ship on display!).
The Village is adjacent to the Oregon Coast Aquarium, where you can see otters, seals, sea lions, coastal birds and walk through an underwater tunnel of fish, sharks and bat-rays. We are right behind Fish Tails Café, where you can order up delicious breakfast and lunches (just look for the mermaids), the Blade Shoppe (where you can browse through beautiful decorative weapons and armor replicas) and Pirates’ Plunder, a place where you can find all sorts of unusual antiques and collectibles.

Our facility
Our 5279 sq. ft. facility is known as the riverboat building (due to the large boat wheels on either side) and is the largest unit in the Aquarium Village. Mission Statement
The mission of Palladine Studios is to foster talent and create a hub for performance media and art.
We are not a dance, martial arts, sports/exercise, acting, writing or filmmaking ‘school’ – there are no levels, grades, or formal methods that we espouse, and no recitals/final tests to mark an endpoint to the program. We are also not a traditional production studio or theater company - rather than recruit talent by formal auditions and pitch meetings, we believe in professional relationships, built naturally from the ground up.
Due to the changing dynamics and technology of performance art, it has become necessary for entertainment artisans to learn to ‘wear all the hats’ - we encourage cross-disciplinary training as a way to facilitate professional collaboration, and believe that the best way to learn is by active participation. Classes at our facility will encourage students to strengthen their minds, bodies, and craft, and give them the resources to develop their own productions.
Students will be automatically considered for roles in Palladine productions*. Work in class will be filmed, giving students the opportunity to review their performance from the audience’s perspective and, if they so choose, use the footage for a demo reel.
* While we offer classes with the hopes of training potential members of our troupe, and may approach students about performance opportunities if we feel that it is a good fit for them, participation in Palladine Studios projects is not guaranteed by tuition, nor is it dependent upon it.
